Marco Rossi

Marco Rossi is a world-known football manager and a former player who is currently serving as the head coach for the Hungary National football team. 

He was born in Druento, Italy. He is currently residing in Budapest, Hungary. Rossi had a special connection with Hungarian since his childhood, and taking the managerial position on the 19th of June, 2018, was a dream come true for him. 

Rossi tested positive for Coronavirus a day ahead of Euro 2020 qualifiers play-off match against Iceland, due to which he got separated from the players and the team in quarantine.

Marco started his senior career with Torino. He played for numerous Italian clubs like Campania Puteolana, Catanzaro, Brescia, Sampdoria, Piacenza etc.

He also played for American club America and German sports club Eintracht Frankfurt before moving to his managerial career. 

He managed numbers of Italian clubs that included AC Lumezzane, Pro Patria Calcio, Spezia Calcio, Scafatese and Cavese. 

He was appointed the second time as the coach of the Nemzeti Bajnoksag I club Budapest Honved FC on the 7th of February 2015, after his resignation on the 28th of April 2014.

He was honored with the best manager of the 2016-2017 Nemzeti Bajnoksag I season. 

Before becoming the manager of the Hungary national team, he was a coach at the Dunajska Streda club of Slovakia First League. Under his management, the national team qualified for UEFA Euro 2020.

Married to the love of his life

In the year 1987, he first saw his future wife Mariella Moccia at the travel agency. Marco was 23 years old at the time and was playing as a defender for an Italian football club Campania Puteolana based in Pozzuoli. 

He was at the travel agency to buy a ticket when his eyes met off with beautiful Mariella. 

They ended up marrying after two years in 1989 in a private wedding ceremony. They celebrated their 32nd anniversary on the 27th of June. The couple is living a blissful life with no signs of divorce.

Proud parents of two children 

Marco and Mariella are the proud parents of their two children, a son and a daughter. 

They delivered their first child, son Simone Rossi on the 3rd of November, 1992. He is an athlete as well. He is an Italian water poloist. 

Their daughter Gaia, born in 18th of December, 1996, graduated as a communication expert. She is a doctorate in communication. Simone is currently in a relationship with an Italian volleyball player, Martina Maragon.

Marco never fails to shower his warm words and love for his wife in his social media account. He praised his spouse, calling her the first lady in his good times and bad times. 

On the couple's 30th anniversary, he wished his beloved spouse on his Instagram post sharing how they spend more than half of their lives, i.e., their 30 years of togetherness filled with love, friendship, fears, happiness, and hard times. 

He also confessed that she was the best part of his life, and if he could start over, he would do everything the same way. 

A complete family man

Marco is a complete family man and keeps his family at his top priority. The happy family often shares the posts spending quality time together. 

For Marco, his family is his piece of heart, his source of strength and happiness. In one of his posts, he wrote, "Family is the best present life can give you."
