Luke Saville

Luke Saville is a tennis player. He has a winning record of two grand slam singles titles consecutively in the 2011 Wimbledon Championships and 2012 Australian Open. 

He is a former junior World no.1 and also an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. Luke reached his highest ranking of 37 as a doubles player in February 2020.

They first met at the age of 15 during the junior Davis Cup in Mexico and had been dating since then. They got engaged after nine years on December 6th,2018. Daria took her Instagram to announce her engagement.

A secret proposal 

Luke made a secret proposal to his long-time girlfriend, Daria. According to Daria, she thought they were going to a beach recovery, but it became a secret proposal. 

At the time, Luke was pissed off with her because he already had a reservation at the restaurant, and she was doing Christmas shopping that took her forever. 

At first, he wanted to propose on the pier, but that could not happen because he could not find a place to park. So they went down to the beach. 

She was about to get in the water taking her tights off when Luke said that there were too many people, which made her confused, thinking what he was talking about. 

Then finally she saw the box, and he said that he had a question to ask. 

He asked if he could propose to her without getting down on his knees, and when she said she was fine with not getting down on his knees, he proposed. 

His soon-to-be wife represented Russia until 2015

His soon-to-be wife was a Russian-born tennis player and represented her country Russia until 2015 before emigrating to Australia. She left her country to be with her fiance. 

She has won one singles title and two double titles on the WTA Tour and four singles and two double titles on the ITF circuit.

Wedding on the way

As per Daria, they were supposed to get married in November 2020, but that did not happen. It has been postponed to December 2021. 

Daria tweeted that she had deposited money for her wedding dress in November 2019 and still liked the dress she chose two years ago.  

Parents to a precious pooch

The couple has become parents to their precious pooch named Tofu Sausage. Tofu also has an Instagram page under the name @tofu_sausage. 

Tofu became part of the family in November 2019. Tofu has amassed more than 4k followers on his Instagram with more than 220 posts.
