William Theodore Walton III, shortly known as Bill Walton, is an American Television sportscaster and former basketball player. 

He was born on November 5, 1952, in La Mesa, California, United States of America, to Gloria Anne and William Theodore “Ted” Walton and was raised with his siblings Bruce, Cathy, and Andy. 

He attended Helix High School and played high school basketball. 

Throughout his career, he has suffered many severe injuries while playing basketball since he was a teenager, but he never gave up on his dream and instead chased it. 

He won three consecutive national college player of the year playing for college basketball coached by John Wooden and the UCLA Bruins. 

He led UCLA to the NCAA Championships in 1972 and 1973. 

As a player of the Portland Trail Blazers, he won the NBA championship in 1977 and earned the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award.

After retiring as a player, Walton came through as a sportscaster. 

His commentary was always classic and phenomenal, and he earned an Emmy Award in 1991.
