Her tweets defending her spouse went viral

Lisa has been the rock of Carrick's life. She has been supporting her husband from his early career days.

As a supportive wife, she is always there to defend her husband against the criticism poured on Michael

In 2014, when  Carrick was playing for Manchester United, he was criticized by Roy Keane for his performance after the 2-0 loss to Olympiakos

He was further slammed after his post-match interview, where Keane commented that the interview was flat like the performance.

He also commented, suggesting some of the players on the pitch should never play for the club again.

Lisa could not take the comments passed on Michael and soon defended him, tweeting,

"Roy Keane, what a **** says anything to provoke a reaction..That's all... Done.."

Shortly after, she deleted her tweet and again posted informing that she had deleted her tweet, adding,

"Emotions got the better of me...Just disappointed".

She was there for her husband during his battle with depression

A perfect wife stands forever with her husband both in good and bad days, and Lisa is among those perfect wives.

She stood with Michael when he was battling depression after the 2009 championship final defeat in Rome

The feelings where he felt he was responsible for the defeat heavily affected him leading him to depression, and no one was aware of his depression besides his parents, brother Graham and Lisa, until he later in 2018 revealed it in his book.

According to him, he felt like he was grieving after the defeat in Rome, and when he was left out at the start of the next season, the fear of being sold grew intense.

He felt that his header that misdirected and led Braca to score their first goal was not going to be forgiven.

When he was selected in the 2010 World Cup to represent England, he did not feel like playing and even talked to Lisa about how he was feeling.

He thought he was not good enough to play in the World Cup.

It was a difficult time for Carrick. However, he came out of it in late 2010, and from the time he has never looked back.
