Leonie Cassel is famous as a celebrity kid. She is the daughter of French actor Vincent Cassel and Italian actress, and model, Monica Bellucci.

How did her parents meet?

Her parents, Vincent and Monica, first met in 1996 on the set of the BAFTA award-winning French film L'Appartement. 

Monica, in an interview, said she met Vincent during an audition which, according to her, was a bit pretentious but very charming. 

She was attracted right away, maybe, but only realized later, she confessed.

They got married in 1999 in Monaco. Even after their marriage, they co-starred in nine films from 1996 to 2006. 

Talking about her experience working with her husband at the time, she said she just takes him as an actor, not her husband, when she is working. 

The only thing she thinks is both of them have to give their best as actors.

Before Vincent, Monica was married to Italian photographer Claudio Carlos Basso when she was 20 years old, but her marriage lasted for six months. 

She was in a relationship with Italian actor Nicola Farron from 1989 to 1995.

Her parent's marriage fell apart after 14 years of marriage. They got divorced in 2013. 

Monica had always prioritized value and respect in a relationship more than fidelity. 

During an interview, she said passion has nothing to do with a deeper partnership as it can be felt for the worst man you ever met, but what’s important is confidence, respect, and knowing the man is just not loyal in a sex way but there for you, that’s more important than fidelity. 

She had also said it would be ridiculous to ask him for fidelity if she hadn’t been there for two months.

Though they cited "irreconcilable difference," there is speculation that he cheated on Monica for a younger woman as he was later spotted dating much younger model Tina Kunakey with whom he ended up marrying in 2018 in a private ceremony in Bidart, France, after dating for two years.

Her elder sister is a model

Leonie has an elder sister Deva who is following in her mother's footsteps, pursuing her career in modeling. 

She was just 14 when she made her modeling debut featuring in a Fragrance campaign for Dolce and Gabbana. 

She has walked in different runways. In July 2021, she was featured alongside her mother on the cover of Italian Vogue. 

Leonie also has a younger half-sister, Amazonie, born to her father from his marriage to French model Tina Kunakey. 

They welcomed Amazonie the following year of their wedding.

Her mother confirmed her relationship with Tim Burton

Her mother finally confirmed her relationship with American filmmaker Tim Burton after months of speculation. 

They first met at the Lumiere Film Festival in Lyon in October 2022. During an interview for Elle France, she expressed her happiness meeting the man. 

"What can I say? I am glad I met the man. It’s one of those encounters that really happens in life. I know the man. I love him, and I am going to meet the director, another adventure begins," she said.

The new couple is currently working together for Beetlejuice 2, where Burton is the director.

The reason her father shaves her head after every movie he does

Her father revealed shaving off his head after every movie he does during an interview for GQ. 

He said when he finishes a movie, he will shave his head, go on a vacation, and won’t shoot until it grows again. 

He stated that it helps him get out of the previous character mentally and physically. It allows him to feel free, he said.
