How did he utilize his time during a lockdown?
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the footballers were on a subsequent break from football.
Having to quit the game in the middle of the season was not easy for Leandro. To distract himself from missing football, he invested his time in his family, trying to enjoy every moment with them.
He built a LEGO Taj Mahal by himself to keep himself busy, which took over a week to put together 10256 LEGO bricks.
At the same time, he also realized it was a chance to enjoy every little thing in life, the things that people could not appreciate because of their busy schedules.
His mother, his lifetime supporter
Leandro was born in a middle-class family to his parents, mother Linda Scheepers, and father, Peter Trossard.
He was brought up with his four years younger sister Lindsay Trossard in the small town of Belgium called Lanklaar.

Despite the divorce of his parents, he remains close to his family. His mother and his grandfather drove him back and forth for the training and competitions.
His mother owned a café in As until she came up with health issues a few years back and was declared disabled, due to which she could not attend some of his matches; otherwise, she hardly missed any of his matches.
Leandro bought a house for his mother in Oudsbergen as a gift.
