Laurent Batlles

Laurent Batlles is a French-born football manager who is currently the manager of Troyes AC. He was born in Nantes, France.

Laurent took over Troyes Ac in 2019 after having served as a technical supervisor and the trainer of the reserve for Saint-Etienne. 

In his second season at Troyes AC, the club was promoted to Ligue 1 once again after being relegated to Ligue 2 in 2018.

His football career so far

Laurent’s football career began early with Toulouse, where he had all of his pre-training and training and went out pro. 

He spent six seasons at Toulouse and was transferred to Bordeaux at the age of 20, just after the championships title in 1999.

At Bordeaux, he played both in the champions league and later the UEFA cup. He returned to Toulouse after six years after having played for Rennes, Bastia, and Marseille. 

He retired from his playing career in 2012. At the end of his playing career, he realized he wanted to become a coach.

After having been retired from his playing career with a total of 510 French top tier games and 41 goals, he joined his former club Saint-Etienne where he was a recruiter in the first year and the second year coached the U15s. 

Later, he was an assistant trainer of the CFA and progressed to assistant in pro. Then he became the trainer of the reserve of Saint-Etienne before joining Troyes. 

During his time in Saint-Etienne, he realized that he wanted something else to evolve.

Laurent is a married man and has a beautiful family. He is married to his beautiful wife Sophie, whom he knew from the early days of his professional career.
