Laura Hilven is the beautiful spouse of Brighton & Hove Albion winger Leandro Trossard. Like her spouse, she is also from Belgium and holds Belgian citizenship.

How did their love story begin?

Laura and Leandro were still strangers to one another when Laura liked Leandro’s picture on Instagram. 

After getting to know each other via Instagram, the couple began dating. They dated for six years before officially becoming husband and wife, walking down the aisle on the 22nd of June, 2019. 

Leandro and Laura got engaged on the 14th of January, 2019, after Laura said yes. 

The wedding that was supposed to happen on the 7th of June was postponed to the 22nd because Leandro was called up to Red Devils. 

Civil wedding before the grand ceremony and the evening party

The couple celebrated their biggest day by organizing a grand ceremony and hosting an evening party at De Barrier in Houthalen-Helchteren, a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg, after the civil wedding. 

Laura wore a handmade white princess gown designed by a Dutch designer, whereas Leandro wore a black tuxedo. 

Among the number of guests included stand-up comedian Steven Goegebeur adding humor at the party. They further lit up the party with fireworks.

Gave birth at a young age

Laura and Leandro became parents when she gave birth to her son Thiago in 2017. At that time, Laura was 24 and her husband Leandro was 22.

According to Laura, both of them wished to have several children and made a decision not to wait long. 

Her mother was just 18 when she had her. Since her parents gave birth to her at a young age, it got easy to get help from them in a lot of ways. 

She wishes for the same kind of bond from her children too. She also confessed to being ready for a brother or sister for Thiago. 

Her first son Thiago was born in Belgium and wants her second child to be born in Belgium again because she wants to communicate with the doctors in her mother tongue in a familiar environment, although she has improved her English a lot.

Thiago is currently four years old and is attending school in England. At home, they speak Dutch, but when Thiago returns from school, the first hours will be completely mixed up with English.

Laura and Leandro think their son will become a singer or doctor but not a footballer like his dad seeing his unwillingness to kick the ball. 

But he is too young and may fall in love with the ball in the coming days.

A supportive partner

Laura and Leandro are lucky to have one another in their lives since both have been supporting each other. 

When Laura gave birth to their child, Leandro thought that Laura should quit her job, seeing her having difficulty managing everything at a time. 

From that moment, Laura began to take care of the whole household. Laura feels that it would be unfair if she only sits on the couch and takes care of their son, so her job is to make her spouse’s life as easy as possible. 

She knows the life of a footballer is not that easy. Whenever her spouse goes through hard times, she always assures him that everything is going to be ok. 

Leandro does not mix his professional and personal life, so he usually talks to his manager to keep his family away from the extra pressure. At home, he wants to forget everything.
