In March 2018, Lara and Pat sold their Sunshine Coast Mansion for a lesser price than the amount they had spent to develop the property. 

They had purchased the house for $18 million but had to sell it at a loss for $15.2 million. The house had a total of seven bedrooms.

The former tennis player has an arena named Pat Rafter Arena. The arena is located in Queensland Tennis Centre.

He has earned money through his career as a tennis player. In 1993 he won his first tour-level match at Wimbledon. In 1994 he won his first career singles titles. 

It was three years later he got his breakthrough. In 1997 he reached the semifinals in the French Open. He then won the U.S. Open by beating Greg Rusedski in a four-set final.

A year later, in 1998, he won the Canadian Open. In July 1999, he became the World No. 1 men’s singles. However, he got to hold the title for just a week.
