Kristen Rivers rose to fame as a wife of an American Professional basketball coach and former player Doc Rivers. 

Doc is currently the head coach for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Married to her high school sweetheart

Kristen married her high school sweetheart Doc Rivers. 

The couple first met in 1979 while attending Marquette University in Milwaukee. 

According to the source, Doc initiated talking to Kristen, suggesting that she would look pretty if she washed her hair once in a while. 

The couple did not hit off instantly, but instead, Doc set Kristen up with one of his teammates. 

Kristen dated his teammate for a decade before she and Doc started their newly romantic relationship.

Kristen is a proud mother to her four children, son Austin, 28, daughter Callie Rivers 32, son Jeremiah 32, and youngest son Spencer, 25. 

All of her kids are athletes, where all of her sons played basketball as professionals, and her daughter Callie played Volleyball. 

As a professional basketball player, Austin played for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association(NBA), while Jeremiah played basketball for Georgetown and Indiana and later joined the Maine Red Claws.

Her daughter Callie walked down the aisle with her man Seth Curry, a professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers, on 14th September 2019.

It was a grand wedding in Malibu followed by a grand reception. 

Callie's and Seth's one-year-old daughter and  Seth's two nieces Riley and Ryan, daughters of NBA star Steph Curry, served as flower girls during the wedding. 

The bride and groom hit the dance floor, making the evening more happening. Steph Curry was the best man.

With the news of their proceeding divorce, it seems that Doc has found a new woman in his life. 

According to the sources, Doc was spotted wrapping his arms around his new woman's waist outside San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles.

Doc addresses media on his 1000th career win

Doc, in an interview, shared that he didn’t have any idea that he was at 9.99. It’s because he doesn’t count; as he explains, it’s not why he does it. 

So, winning and getting these thousand wins being short-handed, and being in Chicago means a lot for him, and he claimed that he is very lucky. 

Also, Doc explains that when he goes back and looks at the coaching staff that he had along with the players, and wins like tonight. 

He says that winning the title is great but wins like tonight is what you coach for when you are just piece milling it.

Doc has mixed emotions. Why?

Doc has also contributed his time as a member of a smaller coaching fraternity that will not add any new people soon.

Doc stated that they had the chance, and obviously, they took benefits of it. Elaborating, he said that all three (Lenny Wilkens, Nate McMillan, and Doc) had proved they knew. 

He also added that many Black men could do the same thing as they have been doing. 

However, he claimed the worst disease in NBA for a long period of time was a fired black coach. 

Because once a black coach gets fired, he will not get another chance indeed, he claims that others have got many chances and opportunities over and over again, which seems to be consistent in their business. 

Doc thinks that he is not the norm but compared to them, a lot of boys get one chance, and if they are out, they won’t get any job again, which he feels is not the true fact with everyone else out there. 

He takes pride in being three of 25. He admitted having mixed emotions in the sense that he believes in having the same amount of opportunity for everyone.
