He also said that he had to pay with four credit cards for the surgery because the surgery back then was way too expensive for his bank account.
He thought it was something he had to do because he was not going to get diabetes at any cost.
In the first week post-surgery, after going through the gastric band procedure, he lost 50 lbs, and within the first year, he lost a massive 100 lbs.
