Kim Miller

Kim Miller is the proud mother of an American basketball coach and a former NBA player Tyronn Lue, the head coach for the Los Angeles Clippers. 

Kim is a minister of the church. She runs a church in Katy, Texas. Tyronn previously served as the head coach for Cleveland Cavaliers.

Married life 

Kim married her husband, Ronald Kemp long time ago. Her husband Ronald Kemp was a local basketball legend, but before he could excel, he ended up being in jail for his addiction to crack c*caine, due to which he could not build a bond with his son Tyronn. 

Kim then became a single parent to her children. Letting bygones be bygones, Tyronn reconnected with his father during his playing career in the NBA.

Struggled she faced while raising her three children as a single parent

Kim had a hard time raising her two sons Gregory and Tyronn, and a daughter Shakea Lue. She was struggling with d*ug addiction and, at the same time, was struggling to make end meets. 

She did everything she could to provide her kids with what they needed. Since she had no money, she used to shoplift for the sake of her kids. 

She would say she was going shopping and would bring home whatever she could shoplift, including steaks, lobster, chicken, and even a whole rack of clothing.

Survived cancer twice 

Kim survived cancer not once but twice. She was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time in 2007. 

When the doctor suggested a mastectomy, she refused. After eight years, in July 2015, her cancer returned, and she had to undergo a double mastectomy. 

It was a very tough time for her to decide if she would go for the chemotherapy or not, although she knew it would save her life. 

Having to go through the same painful process for the second time was heart-wrenching for Kim. 

Her mother, Olivia George, a breast cancer survivor, was diagnosed with lung cancer while taking care of her daughter. 

Luckily both Kim and her mother Olivia survived after undergoing cancer treatment.

She means everything for her son

Tyronn confessed that his mom means everything to him. She was influential in shaping his NBA career, supporting him since day 1. 

He added being separated from his mother during his sophomore year in high school to be his toughest time. 

He moved to stay with his uncle in Kansas City in search of a better opportunity and also to have a father figure in his life. 

He considers his uncle Kevin Graves to be an important male figure in his life. He also credited his grandmother Olivia George who stepped in to raise him. 

For him, his mother and grandmother are his worlds.

Relationship Status

The relationship status of 44-year-old Tyronn is currently single. Despite being a renowned coach, he has managed to keep his personal life under wraps. 

There is not even a rumor of his dating life. Some people speculated him to be gay.
