Her Family

Kerry is the youngest of four children in her family. 

Her father played for Sydney University with Adrian Quist, and her mother was one of the top juniors in Sydney and played with Thelma Coyne Long

She is married to Grover Raz Reid. She shares two daughters with her spouse. 

They are Kati Reid and Kimi Reid

Her elder daughter, Kati, played soccer at Clemson, and her younger daughter Kimi is good at tennis

Both of them are married and lives within six miles away from each other in Seattle

Her Love-Life And Marriage

Kerry met her husband Raz Reid when they were playing World Team Tennis for the Boston Lobsters in the mid-'70s, Raz was ranked in the Top 60 in the world and was moving up in the rankings at that time. 

The loving duo tied the wedding knot on April 27, 1975, in Greenville, South Carolina

As per her, she probably ruined him, and they even decided to try playing on separate tours, but it didn't work. 

Raz then sacrificed his tennis and came with her on the women's tour as her coach.

Influence Of Her Husband

The first two years Kerry and Raz were together; Raz tried playing on the men's tour, but being apart was too tough on them. 

Although they were in a happy relationship, they decided to travel together to be a team. 

He retired in 1977 to become her coach, and they worked together for many years. 

She considers those were the best years for her as a player.

Kerry reached in Australian Championship at the age of 15

She has established herself as a perennial member of the World's Top 10 for 12 consecutive years

She has taken three major titles in doubles, captured 22 official WTA singles titles, reached 40 additional finals

She won one Grand Slam singles title in 1997

She was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 1979 and was inducted into the Australian Tennis Hall of Fame in 2014.
