Kerry was the first responder of the September 11 attacks or 9/attacks. She was at Staten Island University Hospital with her patient when she suddenly got the news of a plane crash in the World Trade Center. 

She headed for Manhattan through the emergency lane. While she was running down, two buildings collapsed in front of her. 

It was a near-death experience for her as she was caught in the secondary collapse. 

As she was waiting to die, she saw a ray of hope after some of the black smoke from debris got cleared. 

She was there to rescue the injured firefighters who needed medical treatment. Her heroic action saved many families in the fire department. 

According to Jost, firefighters are the world to her and would be there for them no matter what. Kerry has had lung issues since then.

No sympathy for his son’s complaints regarding work

Her son Colin has been working with Saturday Night Live for a very long time. 

While reminiscing his memories, he humorously confronted how his mother would react whenever he used to complain about his long working hours in SNL to gain her sympathy. 

She would reply how she worked in hospitals for six years straight without a week off. 

She understands that it’s tough, but getting sympathy from work complaints is tougher.

Colin walked down the aisle with actress Scarlett Johansson in October 2020 after being engaged in May 2019.
