Kelsey-Lee Barber

Kelsey-Lee Barber, real name Kelsey Lee Roberts, professionally serves as a track and field athlete. 

The lady is recognized for competing in the Javelin Throw. Originally, she belonged to East London, South Africa. 

However, she and her parents shifted to Australia back in 2000. She is a married woman. Her nationality is Australian.

From a young age, Kelsey dreamed of being an Olympian. Moreover, she was also an active participant in high school, competing in athletics.

Well, it’s been stated that when they first met, she was just recognized as a young javelin thrower who looks promising, and Mike, a decathlete who just turned into an AIS bio-mechanist, including a hobby coach. 

Mike shared one of his mentors advised him from the very beginning not to fall in love with Kelsey. 

Well, it was definitely good advice, it's just that he didn’t take it seriously, Mike added. 

Nevertheless, their romantic relationship started, and sooner after the 2018 Commonwealth Games, they took their vows. 

Life after wedding

Kelsey and Mike hosted their wedding on 28th April 2018. 

The couple looked great on their big day as the bride was clad in a white gown, where the top was designed with a deep V neck with a printed floral. 

Her hair was in a low bun with a curl at the front. She didn’t wear any jewelry. 

On the other side, the groom was clad in a black suit with a plain white shirt and silver tie with a flower clip on his side coat. 

They took a beautiful picture at Pialligo Redwood Forest. 

With her partner, she is seen celebrating Christmas at a farm, training in a gym, together seen in events, paragliding in New Zealand, holidaying in Doha, roaming in National Arboretum Canberra, and many more.

Praised her husband for supporting her to the core

Kelsey is a well-known name today. After achieving the title of the World Championship, she decided to lengthen her run-up. 

She took advice from her husband. Moreover, she mentioned Mike stating that it couldn’t be possible to reach here today in this position without him. 

She also said he calmed and relaxed her before her performance at the fence. 

Further, she added that the emotional bond between them makes their relationship even more special and fun.

Does Kelsey have children?

As of now, Kelsey has no children. She and her hubby are busy building up their career. 

During this pandemic, Mike has become her physic, massage therapist, and training partner. 

Kelsey got trained in their garage with the gym equipment in and cars out. 

Moreover, their living room was her yoga room, including a massage studio and a park as a training ground.
