After the death of his wife, he attended his son’s game for the first time without her in March 2021, which was indeed difficult for him and his son, and he got emotional before the game.
He had not been to any game physically since the death of his beloved wife.
Father of three children
He is not only a father to his son Karl-Anthony but also a father to his two daughters, Malaika Singleton-Towns and Lachelle Towns.

He also went on to say that his favorite team while growing up was Knicks because Knicks was the only team that gave his dad a chance out of college.
His dad made the training camp squad but later broke his ankle after one of the practices, due to which his playing career got a full stop, but he became the coach.
It was an honor for KAT that Knicks saw his dad being potential to be in their gym, and he had in his mind to finish the steps he had.
His dad's career was gone on a snap after making it to the training camps, putting all that effort that he went through college, busting people up, getting bocks and rebounds, and making it to the leagues.
So, KAT felt like maybe he could finish and keep the legacy going on and finish what he started.
