Karen Horen was born and brought up in Israel. 

The couple met each other in the year 2005 when Karen had gone to Australia to attend University and again moved to Auckland with her partner Manu Bennett, as he got a role in Spartacus.

Her Cancer Battle Story

Karin Horen diagnosed with breast cancer when she was only 26. 

And immediately, she had to go through two surgeries resulting in two partial mastectomies, twelve months of chemotherapy, and six weeks of radiotherapy. 

It was so painful and exhausting at the same time for her. 

However, she moved on with her life and met her love of life, Manu Bennett. 

But unfortunately, cancer returns, and that the time she had full Mastectomy of her left breast and a Preventive Mastectomy of her right one. 

It came as a shock to her happy family, and they were devasted by this news.

After her two-time mastectomy, she had to go through both the physical pain as well as emotional pain. 

Manu Bennett ended his relationship with her, and she lost her that support as well. 

It feels like all her energy was drained, and nothing was left.  She had to face so many body issues too. 

But she chooses to look at her positive side than the negative one. 

She took motivation from her three daughters and always look forward to leading her life in a new way. 

Later she founded the SUP boarding fundraiser for Cancer Rehabilitation, Paddle for Hope (2011). 

Karen Horen is also a motivational speaker and founder of ONEOFUS.NZ, which an eCommerce site for women where they can buy the products which are friendly to cancer patients like swimwear, beauty, health, lifestyle, and accessories. 

She also launched a book titled 'I am More Than Just my Tits.' 

Currently, she is living in Auckland with her three daughters.

His mother, Jean Bennett, was an Australian bikini model, and father Ted Bennett was a singer in New Zealand.
