Jose De Gea

Jose De Gea is the father of Spanish professional footballer David de Gea. He is a former goalkeeper. 

Jose is married to Marivi Quintana, who is a homemaker.  Jose and Marivi had their son in their early 40's. Nowadays, they are in their 60's and live in Toledo, a city and municipality in central Spain.

The bond between the family

Jose shares a strong bond with his wife and his only son. They are often spotted on pictures posted on social media, having dinners or being together at special events and enjoying each other's company.

David was never into goalkeeping from the beginning. Instead, it developed later. 

When David was a kid, he also played for his school team. He could play for all the positions defense, midfield, and attack role as required. 

However, until David was 14, he played as an outfield player until the age that defined a turning point in his career.   

David was 6 feet and 4 inches tall, which restricted his speed as a footballer. That's why David decided to start a career as a goalkeeper for life.
