Childhood and early career
Huitema was born in Chilliwack, British Columbia, to amazing parents.
She started playing football at the young age of four, and when she was 10, she was playing in the boy's football team at the local club, Chilliwack FC.
When she arrived for the first time, people were like why is a girl in a jersey?
She was always dealing with the comments and the stares, but that did not stop her from playing or from doing what she wanted to do.
At the age of 12, she moved to Surrey United in the BCSPL. Until she was 13, she was playing the sport for fun but then started taking it seriously.
According to her, 2012 was a turning point for her as she fell in love with the sport more deeply and thought she wanted to be on the podium with the team.
In 2015, she joined Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite program in partnership with BC Soccer.
After her impressive performance at the youth level, she was invited to train with the senior team at the age of just 14.
She knew if she wanted to thrive in World Cup, she had to start early, so she graduated early and went to Paris without a contract and stayed in a hotel for six months before the World Cup to get the best training.
She joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2019 at the age of 18 and became the first female player to turn pro after coming out of high school.

Her brother Brody is a former member of the Vancouver Whitecaps residency and played for Duke University while her other brother Trent played Ice-hockey in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the Canadian junior “A” ice hockey team Humboldt Broncos.

Huitema and Davies started dating in 2017 and soon became a power couple inspiring many.

She also revealed stealing half of the clothes from Davies' wardrobe, adding humorously that she goes to Munich with an empty suitcase and returns to Paris with a full suitcase because all of his clothes fit her as perfectly oversized except for her pants.
Their bond seemed unbreakable, and people thought they would get married sooner or later, but unfortunately, things did not work out as expected.
The rumors of their break-up and Huitema being an unfaithful partner began to swirl up.
Davies put a full stop to confirming their breakup in 2022 after five years of relationship.
He also defended Huitema claiming to the fans that the allegations of Huitema being unfaithful were false.
He said Huitema is a good person and that he has respect for her urging everyone to respect their privacy.
