John Lee

John Lee is the celebrity father of Sunisa Lee, who is a Hmong American artistic gymnast. She is also part of the United States women's national gymnastics team. 

John is a former veteran. He is currently living in the United States. He is currently partially paralyzed because of an accident that took place.

Sunisa is a very talented, hardworking, and dedicated athlete known for the amazing skills that she presents to her audience. 

She also becomes the first Hmong American Olympian after being qualified in the 2020 Summer Olympics with the position of the main team competitor.

It was just a regular day for John, and he was helping a friend of his to trim a tree. 

He was up on the ladder doing the work when he accidentally fell down the ladder and had to be rushed to the hospital. 

He had fractured multiple ribs and also broke his right wrist, but the most devastating fact was he was paralyzed from the chest down.

The perfect balance:

The incident with John took place right before Sunisa was going for National Championships in Kansas City. 

It was the hardest for her to leave for the championship when her dad was in that condition but still gave her best and qualified for Olympics. 

She was also helping her mother to take care of her siblings along with school and her practice. She had everything in balance. 

The Covid tragedy:

In the pandemic, Sunisa faced another sorrow of the passing away of her uncle and aunt, who used to take care of her when she was young due to Covid. 

It was a very sad moment for the family.
