JoAnne Doocy

JoAnne Doocy is popular as a mother of Emmy-Award winning Television reporter Steve Doocy.

Before working with Fox as a co-host of Fox & Friends, he worked for NBC and CBC. He has been with Fox since 1996.

Married life 

JoAnne was happily married to James Edward Doocy. James's great grandfather immigrated to the United States of America from Ireland around the 1850s. 

The couple was planning to take the trip of a lifetime to Hawaii, but it could not happen because of her sudden unexpected death. 

James never used the tickets because he could not go without her. She died on Christmas morning in the year 1997.

Her husband died following a brief illness 

Her husband previously served in the United States and Germany as an army. 

He was working in Sales and Construction in his 30s. At the time, Steve was ten years old. 

Every Saturday, he would talk to Steve on a long-day sales call. 

Later, both she and her spouse worked as managers of Best Westerns President Inns for a long period. 

After retirement, James dedicated his time to his grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren. 

He died on 8th February 2014 at Salina Regional Health Center following a brief illness. He was 80 at the time.

Mother of her five children

JoAnne and her husband were blessed with five children, including Steeve Doocy. 

Her other kids are Cathy Curtis, Lisa Doocy, Ann Walker, and Jenny Doocy. They raised their kids in Abilene, Kansas. 

Her son Steve is happily married to his wife of more than thirty years. 

He is married to former model and actor, Kathy Gerrity whom he first met while working at WRC-TV located in Washington Dc. 

The successful power couple is the parents of three adult children, Peter, Mary Doocy, and Sally. 

Out of which, two are working at Fox. 

His elder son Peter Doocy serves as the news correspondent and youngest daughter Sally Doocy as a sales planner.

Her grandson officiated the ceremony of her granddaughter, Sally, after the priest's unexpected death. 

He did not let his sister's wedding interrupt further as it was already delayed for 92 days following the Coronavirus pandemic. 

With the unexpected death of the priest, they had to find a new officiant. 

Peter, who had previously officiated his friend's ceremony after becoming a legit minister, never thought he would get another chance to officiate. 

The wedding became successful despite the Coronavirus pandemic, death of a priest, and hurricane warning.
