Joana Sanz is the stunning wife of Brazilian-born professional soccer player Dani Alves. Alves plays as a right-back for Pumas UNAM and the Brazil national team. 

Sanz is a Spanish fashion model and entrepreneur. She was born in Tenerife, Canary Island, Spain. 

She started her modeling career at the age of 17, participating in the Supermodel of the World Contest organized by a top American modeling agency.

Sanz and Alves were first introduced through a mutual friend. Sanz, at the time, was sharing a flat with one of the Alves’ business partner’s girlfriends. 

Alves, at the time, was playing for Barcelona. They started dating the following year, in 2015. 

Two years later, the couple married in a secret wedding in 2017. The wedding ceremony took place in Ibiza.

During an interview in 2016 with Spanish Gossip Magazine, Sanz revealed that she rejected Alve’s marriage proposal twice before she finally said yes to his third. 

She said Alves proposed to her in the hotel room. “It was Splendid, he already asked me three times, she added.

Sanz and Alves have been living a blissful married life since then, and the mantra of their happy marriage is laughter. 

According to her, it would be impossible for the couple to find each other hilarious, and she wishes the laughter would be more over the years.

She is a step-mom of two 

Sanz is yet to become a mom, but she is a step-mom to her two step-children, whom her husband shares with his ex-wife Dinora Santana. 

Santana and Alves dated for almost six years before they walked down the aisle in 2008. 

They welcomed two kids, a son Daniel and a daughter Victoria who are 15 and 14, respectively. 

Santana and Alves got divorced three years after their marriage on mutual agreement.

He was carried away after the emotional tribute from Barca 

Alves left Barcelona after his contract expired in June 2022. It was his second spell at the club. 

He appeared in 431 competitive matches in total for the club with whom he won Supercopa de Espana, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, five La Liga titles, and two UEFA Champions League titles. 

Alves competed for the Joan Gamper Trophy with his new club, where he faced his former club Barcelona.

He was carried away after the former Barca teammates and supporters gave him an emotional tribute. 

The Barca squad threw him in the air and later presented him a framed shirt with 431 printed on it, which represented the number of the match he played for the club.

It was an emotional moment when Alves hugged all of his former teammates and President Joan Laporta. Alves later expressed his gratitude via his social account.
