Jelena Djokovic

Jelena Djokovic, a Serbian Ph.D. candidate and humanitarian, is the Novak Foundation CEO, an organization that helps the disadvantaged, Serbian children achieve their full potential through proper education. 

She is also the director of a Serbian magazine called 'original.' Jelena is famous as a wife of a Serbian-born tennis star, Novak Djokovic.

Thirty-three years, Djokovic is the greatest player of all time, who had won 17 Grand Slam singles titles, including Wimbledon titles five times, Australian Open titles eight times, US Open titles three times, and a French Open title. 

His 2016 French Open victory made him become the third man in history to hold all four major titles at once. He is currently ranked as a world no.1 tennis player by the ATP. 

He has represented his country being a 1st Serbian player to be ranked at the top.

A sweet marriage proposal on a hot-air balloon ride

On September 2013, around 7 a.m., Novak took Jelena for a hot air balloon ride where he had arranged another hot air balloon in the distance so that while coming closer, it would rise and release the banner sign "Will You Marry Me." 

As Jelena was unaware of what was happening, they started to panic when the balloon started going down, thinking that there was a hole. 

As the balloon went down, she started reading the letter up, which she thought was a commercial banner but was surprised when she found Novak already down on his knee. 

After a year, they got married.

An Idyllic wedding ceremony 

The romantic duo exchanged their wedding vows on July 10, 2014. It was an Idyllic wedding ceremony which took place at the Aman Sveti Stefan resort in Montenegro. 

The couple looked extremely beautiful in their bride and groom's attire. 

Jelena was carrying their first child during their wedding, and Novak's eyes were completely on his beautiful wife and baby.

Blessed with two children 

The couple is blessed with two beloved children, a son, and a daughter. The pair welcomed their first child, son Stefan in October 2014, the same year of their marriage. 

Their second child, daughter Tara, came to the world in 2017 September. Novak announced on Twitter after becoming a father for the first time.  

Tara recently celebrated her 3rd birthday, and Stefan will be celebrating his sixth birthday on October 22.

Her husband credits her for helping him evolve as a person over the years 

Novak and Jelena first met when they played tennis at their High School Sports Academy in Serbia and started dating in 2005. They have been sharing a strong bond since then. 

She has been there for him during his ups and downs as a supporting pillar. 

When asked about his bond with Jelena, he shared that both of them, as a husband and wife, experience their relationship by nurturing it every day, not neglecting what makes their love so strong, and having dedicated everything important to them. 

He credits his wife for helping him evolve as a person over the years.

Jelena's net worth is not disclosed, but she shares part of her husband's income to maintain her children's lifestyle. 

As a top-ranked player with numerous achievement records, he has amassed an impressive amount. He was the 1st tennis player to win $100 million prize money.
