Jeff Goldblum

Jeff Goldblum is an American-born actor and musician. 

He was born to Jewish parents, Shirley Jane Goldblum, a radio broadcaster who later ran a kitchen appliances firm, and Harold Goldblum, a physician and a major in the U.S. Army during World WarII. 

He was born and raised in a suburb of Pennsylvania alongside his three siblings, brothers Lee and Rick, and sister Pamela.

How did he get into acting?

Goldblum was caught by an acting bug when he was around 10. 

According to him, his mother Shirley used to take him and his sister to the children's theater program, and he was mesmerized by what they were doing. 

Later, he went to Chatham Music Day Camp. The camp had a drama program, and he was given a little part in the show where he had to sing and dance. 

He had so much fun after that he kept secret to himself that he wanted to be an actor. 

When he was around 14 or 15, he went to college six-week program between 9th and 10th and 10th and 11th grades, and he became so obsessed with acting that every day when he used to take a shower, he would write, "Please God let me be an actor" on a glass door and would wipe it off before leaving. 

Still, at that point in time, he didn't want anybody to know.

Right after high school, he moved to New York City and studied with a great acting teacher, Sandy Meisner. 

Is Goldblum gay?

Goldblum was caught in a video where he was seen dancing on "Mardi Gras," organized by the LGBT at the annual LGBT pride parade, so the rumor of him being gay swirled up, but he is not gay. 

He is a strong supporter of the LGBT community. His brother, Lee, who died in 2000, was homosexual. 

During an interview with The Times Magazines, Goldblum said because of his brother's sexuality, his father never treated him nicely and was often cruel to him. 

He also said that his father hid it from the rest of the family and sent his brother to the therapist in order to fix him. And it was all secret.

Who is he married to?

Goldblum was married to actress Patricia Gaul from 1980 to 1985. 

He then married Geena Davis, with whom he starred in the 1985 film Transylvania 6-5000, The Fly (1986), and Earth Girls Are Easy (1988).

They were married from 1987 to 1991.

Goldblum is currently married to Emilie Livingston, a Canadian rhythmic gymnast. 

He married Livingston on the 8th of November, 2014, at Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles after getting engaged in mid-2014.

His wife is 30 years younger than him. Goldblum, while appearing on the Sirius XM podcast back in 2019, talked about the huge age gap with his wife. 

He humorously said he was full of Vitamin A, and by far, nothing was going wrong. 

He also revealed that his wife didn't know who he was until they met, although she had seen Jurassic Park dubbed in Russian. 

They first met in the gym when he saw Livingston doing a sort of insane fantastical workout, and he could not resist asking her what was happening, Goldblum recalled. 

That was the beginning of their relationship.

Became a father at the age of 62

Goldblum never thought he would become a father until he met his wife, admitting that he had never been particularly passionate about fatherhood. 

He became a father for the first time at the age of 62, welcoming his eldest son Charlie Ocean on July 4, 2015, with his wife, Livingston. 

They welcomed their second son, River Joe Goldblum, in April 2017.
