Jeff Gilmore

Jeff Gilmore is the father of a world champion surfer Stephanie Gilmore. 

Jeff is an Australian citizen who was raised there. He is married to Tracy Gilmore. Jeff has a total of three children. They are Bonnie Gilmore, Whitney, and Stephanie herself.

Stephanie Gilmore is the youngest daughter of Jeff Gilmore and Tracy Gilmore.

Stephanie was born on 29 January 1988 in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia. 

Her close friends call her by her nickname Steph. She has her sisters Bonnie and Whitney as her siblings. 

She always had something on her heart for surfing, and hence she started surfing at the age of 10. 

She first began surfing on a bodyboard, and later she moved to Coolangatta crowded surf breaks. 

She had a natural talent for surfing since her early days; hence, it made it easy to reach a professional level of surfing.

She has the grace of ballet dancer and spirit of a life explorer, making her a more powerful surfer and a powerful human being.

In December 2010, Stephanie was violently attacked by a mentally ill homeless man named Julius Fox outside her house. 

Fox hit Stephanie with an iron bar which broke her left wrist and injured her head badly. 

For this attack, Julius Fox was sentenced to four years in jail. Stephanie recovered quite soon. 

This attack didn't let Stephanie down, it made her come out in a stronger way.

Is Stephanie's dating rumor true?

Stephanie has not yet revealed about her partner. But there is a rumor that Mark Shawyer is her boyfriend. 

He is also a surfer like Stephanie. He is her surfing partner, but yet there is no public announcement by them about their relationship. 

Stephanie likes to keep her private life secret and keep it away from the media. Thus, she has never revealed about her dating or partner. 

How did Stephanie build her career?

Gilmore started surfing when she was just 10 when she stood on a bodyboard. 

By the age of 17, she entered a world tour event as a wild card competitor, where she stood to the victory at Roxy Pro Gold Coast in 2005.

Next year, i.e., in 2006, she again won a wild card event in Havaianas Beachley Classic.

Gilmore was then qualified for the 2001 Women's ASP World Tour because of her World Qualifying Series (WQS) performance. 

She didn't disappoint her team there. There she won four of the eight events and claimed the 2007 World Title. 

She then again won in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2018. 

Stephanie is now the topmost athlete on the ROXY Surf Team. 

Not only this, but in 2014, she was also starred in a feature-length documentary titled Stephanie in the Water.

Did Stephanie take a break from surfing?

Stephanie had three hairline fractures near her knee. She also had a surfing accident in Western Australia in April of 2015. 

Due to this, she took a year break from surfing. Even after that, she recovered totally and started working hard to get back to surfing again. 

She recovered her surfing in no time and started winning lots of titles.

As of today, his daughter's net worth is exactly $3 Million. 

She is one of the highest-paid women surfers with $1.75 Million earning per annum. Her source of income is a professional surfer.
