Janna Williams

Janna Williams is the daughter of an American basketball coach and former player Monty Williams. 

He is currently the head coach for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association.

As a daughter of an athletically gifted father, she is also making her name as a standout volleyball player. 

She was named Burlington County Times Girls Volleyball player of the year in 2018.

Janna is blessed with four siblings, two elder sisters and two younger brothers.

The eldest sister Lael Williams graduated from college, and her second eldest sister is studying at Baylor University.

Her parents were high school sweethearts

Her parents Monty and Ingrid Williams, were high school sweethearts. 

Both of them attended the University of Notre Dame. 

Monty met his future wife in the first week of school and soon realized that she was different from other girls. 

Most of the girls he met earlier were in love with the idea of what he would be while Ingrid talked to him about his family and faith for hours and hours. 

After meeting her, he understood what grace meant. 

According to him, she was the consistent example of graciousness that he had ever met. 

She was the one who taught him to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow his directions. 

They exchanged wedding vows in 1995 and lived a blissful married life until Ingrid’s unexpected death in 2016.

Survived dreadful car accident

Janna, along with Faith and Micah, survived the dreadful car accident. 

The accident took place in February 2016 in Oklahoma City. 

Her mother, Ingrid, was driving back home from her sister Faith’s basketball practice when their SUV collided with a Sedan driven by a fifty-two-year-old woman Susannah Donaldson. 

The accident claimed the life of fellow driver Susannah on the spot while Janna, her siblings, and Ingrid were rushed to hospital. 

Unfortunately, they could not save her mother. 

She passed away the following evening. She was 44 at the time.

Her father’s second wedding

After the tragic death of her mother, her father remarried Lisa Keeth towards the end of 2016. 

She currently serves as the vice president of basketball operations for the NBA team San Antonio Spurs. 

She has worked with the team throughout her professional career.

Net Worth

The net worth of Janna is not revealed, but she is part of her father’s impressive net income. For Monty basketball became his god once he got to school. 

He started playing basketball as a small forward at the University of Notre Dame. 

He became an assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazers from 2005 to 2010 and landed his first coaching job with the New Orleans Hornets in 2010.  

He later served as an assistant coach for the United States national team. 

Monty was appointed the head coach for the Phoenix Suns on the 3rd of May 2019.
