Jane Li

Jane Li is famous as the daughter of the world's famous actor and martial artist, Jet Li. She was born in Los Angeles. 

Her father renounced his U.S. citizenship in 2009 so that she and her sister could attend Singaporean schools. 

Jane studied for more than a decade in Singapore American School. She is currently studying at Harvard University. 

According to Jane, she was unaware of her father's popularity until she was seven and was upset with the fact that she was loved just because of her father's popularity.

Jane attended the high-profiled debutante ball, Le Bal, in 2019 after she got an invitation from it.

The invitation is for 20 to 25 girls from the age group 16 to 22 who belong to well-known families around the globe.

How do near-death experiences change a life?

Jane Li and her family went through a near-death experience when they were stuck in the 2004 Tsunami during a vacation in the Maldives. 

She was just four at the time. According to Li, Jane was carried away by the flood in front of his eyes, and she was saved by others. 

Recalling her near-death experience, she said she left her hope when the water was up to her eyes and was submerged for five to ten seconds. 

The experience completely changed their life. When they were on recovery period in the Maldives, Li was moved by people's willingness to help. 

It encouraged Li towards philanthropy. He runs his foundation to help people suffering from disasters. 

Jane is into philanthropy and helps in volunteering her father's foundation and advocating on social issues. 

Jane is reminded daily of being fortunate and how important it is to be of service and give back.

Her parents made their love successful after waiting for a decade

Her parents, Jet Li and Nina Li Chi, a former Hong Kong actress, first met at the set of the Hong Kong action movie Dragon Fight in 1989.

Li was head over heels in love with Nina, but he was bound because he was already in a marital bond.

He was married to his first wife, Huang Qiuyan, a former Chinese actress. His marriage to her was because of superstitious beliefs, due to which he never felt what true love was until he met Nina Li Chi. 

Li's first marriage ended in divorce in 1990. Li and Nina waited for each other for a decade, and even after a decade, they felt for one another the same way. 

They made their love successful by tying a knot on 19th September 1999. They have been together since then with no signs of divorce.

Jane has two elder half-siblings, sisters Taimi Li and Si Li, born to his father from his first marriage. 

She also has a younger sister Jada Li with whom she shares an amazing bond and she is two years younger than her.
