James Murray Grant

James Murray Grant is the father of English actor Hugh Grant. James used to work as an officer in the Seaforth Highlanders in Malaya and Germany. 

He got a DSO and was gifted for bravery and leadership at Saint-Valery-en-Caux during World War II.

Hugh is a big name in Hollywood as he is a very talented and successful actor. He has been part of the biggest movies in Hollywood. 

His films have grossed the amount of $3 billion worldwide. Grant first started his journey in the entertainment industry in 1982 and has not looked back since then.

James was married to Fynvola Susan MacLean, who used to work as a teacher in state schools of west London.

Later in 2015, Hugh and Anna got together and had two more children. Their wedding ceremony took place on May 25, 2018, and are still together.

Relation with co-stars:

Hugh had a very rocky relationship with his many co-stars. 

He didn't get along with many of his co-stars, such as Robert Downey Jr., who in an interview said that he thought Hugh was a jerk and described how much he did not like him. 

Besides Robert, stars like Drew Barrymore, Julianne Moore, and Rachel Weisz also didn't get along with Hugh. However, that doesn't mean that he didn't get along with anybody. 

He is good friends with many stars such as Sandra Bullock, Sarah Jessica Parker, Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson, Andie MacDowell, and Robin Williams. 

Mother's death:

Hugh's mother, Susan, died at the age of 67 because of pancreatic cancer, which she fought for 18 months but couldn't make it.
