Well, Thiago's full name is Thiago Emiliano da Silva. Originally, he belonged to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 

He is the son of Angela Maria da Silva and Geraldo Emiliano da Silva. 

He isn’t a single child, but he has an older brother and sister named Erivelton Emiliano da Silva and Danila Emiliano da Silva.

Thiago Silva suffered from severe disease

Thiago then suffered from a severe disease, Tuberculosis which led to a decision to take retirement from the game. 

He was so concerned about that disease that he made retirement the final decision, but his mom and spouse convinced the footballer to not quit and change his decision. 

Doctors also suggested surgery and cutting a part of the right lung to cure the disease. 

However, he denied the doctor’s advice, and the rest is all in front of you.

Thiago’s appraisal of Chelsea

Thiago, in a conversation, shared his first thought when he got to know about the Chelsea interest in the year 2020.

Rewinding the time, Thiago shared that when he got the news of it, he was on the PSG bus going back to Paris. 

It was just after the Champions League final when his team got defeated. Thiago revealed it was a combination of both sadness and happiness. 

For Thiago, it was the proudest moment as he thinks that the audience in some way sees him doing the role of a leader.
