How did his parents meet?

His parents started dating in 2007. 

In an interview with Women's Health, Emily said they were first introduced through their mutual friend and would meet here and there, and later, David asked her to coffee. 

After dating for nearly four years, they got married in a private ceremony in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.

His mother got to play pregnant Brennan at the same time she was pregnant with him

His mother, who is famous for her role as Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan in a long-running hit series Bones, got to play pregnant Brennan while she was pregnant with him. 

She also maintained a vegan diet throughout her pregnancy. 

During an interview, Emily said getting pregnant physically was a challenge, but she has the documentation of her being pregnant so that she can show it to her son when he grows older. 

"It was certainly interesting being pregnant and working and now being a parent working, and both my character is also doing the same thing. Sometimes we do things similarly and sometimes differently, and that's been interesting", she said at the time.

He is a vegan

Like his mother, he is also a vegan, and it's by his choice. He has always been particularly aware of healthy foods. 

In an interview with "Garden of Life" back in 2015, Emily shared that Henry denied having candy after someone offered him. 

He asked why did they give it to him as he doesn't eat candy. 

She also said that she was proud of her son, explaining that nutrition is very important to her and loves it when she has those victories. 

She is aware it sometimes can be tricky to feed kids, but she openly gives healthy vegan options and cultured vegetables to her kids, she added.

Similarly, while talking to US Weekly at Mercy for Animals in 2018, she shared that it was Henry's choice to become 100 percent vegan. 

She also called him a vegan policeman. 

"He's kind of like the vegan police now. I have to watch what he is doing socially so he doesn't alienate people, she told Weekly.

He is the nephew of Zooey Deschanel and grandson of Oscar-nominated cinematographer Caleb Deschanel

He is the nephew of an American actress and musician, Zooey Deschanel, who is best known for her deadpan roles in comedy films such as Good Girl, The New Guy, Elf, and many more.

Similarly, he is the grandson of Oscar-nominated cinematographer and director Caleb Deschanel, who shot The Right Stuff and Apocalypse, and actress Mary Jo Deschanel.

He has a younger brother

Henry has a younger brother, Calvin. He was born in 2015, and once again, their mother's pregnancy was documented in Bones. 

In less than two months after Calvin was born, their aunt, Zooey Deschanel, welcomed daughter Elsie Otter.

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel asked if they planned to have their babies so close together. 

Emily said having a young baby around the same time as her sister was amazing and that they couldn't have planned it better.
