Parents And Their Love Story

Her parents were Roman Catholics of Irish descent. 

Helen F. Flynn was born and brought up in Middletown, Rohde, Island. She has eight siblings. 

Her mother (Helen Frances) worked in real state business, whereas her father (Charles Francis Flynn) was a small-town banker and also a former Army Sergeant.

Her parents were childhood buddies. Her father Charles was a dashing football player, and her mother (Helen Frances) was brilliant in studies. 

When her father was overseas, her mom went to Brown University on Full Scholarship since she felt difficulty as she was working person were other girls from her school was super-rich. 

Hence, she left that university and joined Catherine Gibbs School. 

When the second world war was over, then her parents got married to each other following the Catholic traditions.

Soon they embrace their parenthood after getting married. 

After spending nearly two decades in uniform, her father gets retired and moved to his family in Aquidneck Island. 

And they together settle down in her grandmom small summer cottage house. 

It was one story Building house on a tiny lot Infront of Ocean, as her mother always wanted a house around the beach or ocean. 

But it was a lot of struggle for her parents to raise the nine children. 

Her mother always organized the things in genealogical order (Firstborn, First in basis). 

But growing up with the eight siblings was so much fun and learning at the same time. 

At night finding a bed and lay down their head was a never-ending battle for them. 

In the dining table, the situation could turn into a fight or negotiation as it is one of the things when one grows up in a large family.

In 1978, since her father retired early from the bank, though, he was earning a decent amount of money, but due to health issues, he had to take retirement. 

After that, her family faces a massive financial crisis.

Helen F. Flynn Met With An Accident

But this was not it, and there was more when this incident took place where Helen F. Flynn (nickname: Lennie-first born in the family) met with an accident coming home with her boyfriend on February 27, 1968. 

It was a very tough time for their family and friends. 

Because she was like a second mom to her siblings, after that accident, she went into a coma for six months as the situation was so critical. 

But she did not wake up, and on August 25, 1968, she took her last breath. Everybody was numb in the family.

Her Brother, Michael Flynn

He is a retired U.S Army Lieutenant General and was national security adviser to President Donald Trump for the first 22 days. 

He is married to Lori Andrade and has three children together.

In the year 2017, he resigned from the post after he falls into controversies. 

He was suspected that he had contact with the Russian ambassador as per the FBI. 

But he denied all that personally and later found guilty regarding that. 

Michael has served more than 33 years in the U.S Army. 

He has served the shortest period as national security Adviser in the history as he resigned within 24 days of being appointed due to controversies.

Her other brother, Charlie Flynn, is also in the army. He is married.
