Peck was born on April 5, 1916, in the neighborhood of La Jolla in San Diego, California, to Bernice Mae and Gregory Pearl Peck, who was a chemist and Pharmacist.
After the divorce of his parents, he lived with his grandmother and attended St. John’s Military School in Los Angeles.
Unfortunately, his grandmother died, and he had to move in with his father at the age of 14.
He then attended San Diego High School, graduated in 1934, and enrolled in San Diego State Teacher’s College.
Later on, he transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, as an English Major. Due to his deep and modulated voice, he gained attention in Berkeley.
He enrolled in a public Speaking Competition and, later on, tried to gain success in acting.
His acting coach found potential in him, so he enrolled in school theater and dramas.

Greta Kukkonen got married to Gregory Peck in October 1942. They together shared three children.
Their eldest son, whom they named Jonathan, was born in 1944.
Their middle child, whom they named Stephen, was born in 1945, and their third child, Carey Paul, was born in 1949.
Jonathan was professionally a television journalist. On June 26, 1975, Greta and Gregory received the most horrifying news a parent can receive.
Their eldest son ended his life with suicide. Jonathan was just thirty at the time.

They are very much of a team. He used to consult with her, and Veronique is very imaginative, wise, and witty.
He further added that sometimes they used to be together for 24 hours a day, for weeks, but they liked it. He said they were meant to be.
They together had a son named Anthony Peck and a daughter named Cecilia Peck. The couple were married until Peck’s death.
