Greg Hudgens, a former firefighter, was famous for his celebrity daughter. He is the late father of an American actress and singer, Vanessa Hudgens, famous for her role in the High School Musical Series. 

A strong supporting factor in Vanessa's career

Greg was one of the supporting factors in his daughter's career. Vanessa says that she would not have fulfilled her dream of becoming an actress without him.

He could not watch his daughter performance as Rizzo in Grease Live

Greg was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2015, but he could not survive the cancer battle and took his last breath on January 30, 2016. 

It was just the day before his daughter Vanessa's performance as Rizzo in Grease Live. The performance was dedicated to him.

Vanessa posted the picture of Greg wishing him his 70th  birthday in 2020, stating that she wants to celebrate him though he passed away four years ago.

Vanessa dated High School Musical co-star Zac Efron from 2005 to 2010. 

Vanessa, in an interview with The New York Times, confronted that she was very mean towards her ex-boyfriend and would give him a death stare seeing other girls running towards him. 

She moved on with actor Austin Butler after a year of their break-up. They were in a relationship till 2020. 

After her second break-up, she is currently in a relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Cole Tucker. She confirmed her relationship via Instagram.

Vanessa found a new passion?

Vanessa, when asked if she found her new passion, the actress stated that she doesn’t think of it as a new passion, but she had accepted the fact that she can see things and hear things too. 

Vanessa accepted that she had gone through many experiences over the years. 

Vanessa said even when she was a child and in that growing-up phase, she experienced such things. 

The actress recalls one time she was getting all ready for school when she was eight years old, there used to be a duck thing that you pulled to the toy. 

She remembers there was one of it on the dining table. So, young Vanessa began walking, and it just started like going alongside her. 

Vanessa felt like it was interesting. She remembers that she shut it down for a while, knowing it was scary. 

However, recently she realized that this is like a gift to her. And also knows that she has the ability to do and decided she is going to lean into it. 

Another interesting thing she shared is that she just did her first real paranormal investigation with equipment and everything. 

She giggled and said that a lot of equipment was on the market. Nevertheless, Vanessa’s favorite equipment to do the investigation is a spirit box. 

She explains that it scans radio frequencies very fast. So, one can use it more in a rural place, resulting in that it doesn’t pick up stations. 

And so, she mentioned that if one puts on AM, it sounds like static, but also something about the electricity that it generates also allows spirits to speak through it. 

Vanessa also remembers that one day she was sitting at a tombstone in a graveyard with her best friend. 

And she says that it was nighttime, having a pitch-black scenario. Vanessa and her friend found a tombstone of a spirit that they were told was very playful. 

The actress turned it on, and they introduced themselves to it. They named the tombstone Sam. 

So, Vanessa’s friend asked Sam to tell her their names, and it goes like shhh, Vanessa Shhh. 

Vanessa says they didn’t run but asked again if it had anything else to tell them, and it was just like, shhh, No. 

Vanessa advised that if you have to say to the spirit to stay there as you don’t want them to follow you. 

Lastly, when asked if she was the ghost, what would she do? The lady stated that she would be the type of ghost who would go on Billie Holiday in the middle of the night and commented she loves creepy.
