Gracie Franklin is the celebrity child of an American Christian rapper and hip-hop artist named Kecalf Cunningham. 

Kecalf is also the son of an American singer and pianist named Aretha Franklin, making Gracie one of her grandchildren. 

She was close with her grandmother, and her loss bought great sorrow to the family.

She also used to smoke and drink a lot but later decided to quit smoking as it was hampering her voice. 

During the treatment and recovery process, she had to cancel many of her tours and concerts, and also, many other works were canceled because of her health. 

In 2017, she even announced that it was her last year touring and canceled all the schedules of 2018. 

She died on August 16, 2018, without any form of will. She was surrounded by her close ones at the time of her death.

As Gracie and her siblings were very close with their grandmother, they all spoke at her wedding, all of which were very heartfelt. 

Many others made a speech at the funeral. Her funeral was covered by many channels, including Fox News, CNN, The Word Network, BET, and MSNBC.
