Glenda Bautista is a Filipina-American product manager best known as an ex-spouse of Guardians of the Galaxy star and a retired professional wrestler, Dave Bautista.

She and Dave only married because she was pregnant with his child

Glenda married Dave in 1990. Together, they had two beautiful daughters, Keilani Bautista, born in 1990, and Athena, born in 1992. 

Their marriage only lasted for eight years as they got divorced in 1998.

Dave, in his autobiography, stated that he met Glenda in the latter half of 1989. 

According to him, his first marriage didn't last long enough to have two kids. They only got married because she was pregnant with his child. 

She was 20, and Dave was 21 at the time of their marriage.

Following their divorce, Dave moved on with his life, marrying his second wife, Angie, whom he met at the bar. They got married in October 1998.

Dave was an amateur wrestler in high school. 

He was mesmerized by Arnold Schwarzenegger after going through his encyclopedia, which sort of led him toward his real obsession with bodybuilding, and he thought his true calling was to become a professional bodybuilder. 

He was 17 when he started as a nightclub bouncer. While appearing on The Ellen Show, he said he wasted his 20s in nightclubs that led him to nowhere. 

He was broke and had no future. 

He had two kids, so he was desperately trying to figure out what he could do, and professional wrestling was the only answer he could think of.

Dave said he was always an introverted person. He was painfully shy as a kid growing up. 

He didn't come out of his shell until he started professional wrestling, which sort of pushed him to come out of his shell, but he still struggled with social anxiety. 

When he started acting, he discovered it was not as uncommon as one would have imagined. 

He found a lot of actors who were introverted and self-conscious. 

He fell in love with acting so much that he wanted to focus on it, not so much being an action star and being a cliche character that people expect him to be. 

Dave also said that when he got his first paycheck, it was extremely low because he had already made a lot of money through his professional wrestling career, but he knew he was passionate about it, so he stuck with it. 

He was happy to have acting jobs because he left professional wrestling on top to pursue acting.
