Gianna Floyd is the daughter of George Floyd, who died on May 25, 2020. Her father was born on October 14, 1973.

About Her Father

Her father, George Floyd, was raised in Cuney Homes in the Third Ward of Huston, Texas. 

Cuney homes are public housing complex operated by the Houston Housing Authority (HHA). 

He was very popular among his friend and family with the name of 'Perry.' 

They also characterized him as 'Gentle Giant.'

He studied at South Florida community college for two consecutive years and later transferred to Texas-A-M Kingsville college. 

He played basketball there as he has also led the team when he was in high school in the 1992 5A state Championship. 

Unfortunately, he could not complete his study and dropped out of college.

Then he returned to Huston, where he worked as Automotive Customizer. 

He also played club basketball there. 

In the year 1994, he performed as a rapper in the hip- hop group called Screwed Up Click. 

He had helped Huston city to become one of the world's most excellent hip-hop Scenes. 

Floyd was even a mentor and community leader to young men in the town. 

He was married to Roxie Washington, and they had five children together. 

He had two daughters who live in Huston and son Bryan in Texas.

He had to get arrested for a string of theft and drug possession; in the year 2007, he was even charged for armed robbery and sentenced to prison for five years. 

In 2013, George Floyd was released from the prison at the Diboll Unit after spending four longs years there. 

After Floyd was released, he joined the local ministry, Resurrection Huston.

Death Story Of Her Father

George Floyd shifted to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the year 2014. 

Floyd even worked as a truck driver and security guard. He used to live in St. Louis Park there. 

Her father filmed an anti-gun Violence video three years ago. 

And because of this coronavirus pandemic, he had to suffer from job loss. 

On May 25, 2020, this horrifying incident took place where he took his last breath outside a shop in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

Floyd was suspicious of passing counterfeit $20 bill, he got arrested by police officer Derek Chauvin outside a shop in Minneapolis Minnesota, and the officer aggressively caught his neck pinned it to the floor for 9 minutes. 

Even though he and the locals called out for help, but the police officer doesn't listen to them. 

He was kept saying that he is a claustrophobic person and is being unable to breathe, please. 

When the medical technicians attempted to treat him, then also officer Chauvin didn't remove his knee from his neck. 

The police officers involved in this did not even bother to help him or revive him. 

When he died, he was also PCR positive for Covid-19.

He was murdered brutally by four policemen. 

His official autopsy report claimed that the reason of the death was of Cardiac Arrest.

But the second autopsy report claimed by his family and friends revealed that there is strong evidence that shows that the cause of death is neck compression by police officers restricting the blood flow to the brain and breathing as well. 

The police officers involved in this are fired. 

The man behind his death, the police Derek Chauvin's manslaughter charge against him, was taken. 

The three other officers were Thomas Lane, J. Kueng, and Tou Thau. 

These officers were charged for abetting second-degree murder charges. 

It was such a shameful act against humanity.

After his sad and uncertain demise, protests are being held worldwide globally against the misuse of power by policemen, discrimination against black people, and lack of police accountability. 

The protest was going on in over 400 developed cities, 50 American states, and internationally as well.

There is no information about her net worth, but Kanye West, Rapper by profession helped her with $2 million for legal works and to support their family as well.
