Gabriele Lamm-Rangnick

Gabriele Lamm-Rangnick is famous for being an ex-spouse to the newly appointed interim manager of Manchester United, Ralf Rangnick. 

He is the former Schalke, Hoffenheim, VfB Stuttgart boss and was at Lokomotiv Moscow as a manager of sports and development before resigning from his post to be with Manchester United.

United announced Rangnick as their new interim manager on 29th November 2021, but Rangnick would be starting his work only after Mid-December because of a work permit. 

He must go through the systematic process of acquiring a secure visa to work in the Premier League. 

He must visit the English Football Association's Exception Panel to be granted a work permit. 

He must isolate until receiving a negative PCR result, and if he receives a negative result, he will only be able to watch the match against Arsenal without his involvement before and during the game.

His bountiful coaching experience and success as a manager in his native Germany took his former club Hoffenheim from nowhere to the top half of Bundesliga within just two and a half years and RB Leipzig to the Champions League from the fourth division. 

He is also the pioneer of Gegenpressing, where the team attempts to win back possession immediately after losing possession instead of falling back to the group. 

The Gegenpressing tactics were inspirational to some of the top managers like Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel, and Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann. 

According to the sources, six of Jurgen Klopp's squad at Liverpool were developed by Rangnick.  

Previously Chelsea also wanted to him after the dismissal of Frank Lampard, but he did not join the club because the club only wanted him for four months.
