He posted pictures with Kubino on June 22, 2023, where both of them are seen showing thump-ups with the caption, Kubino strikes again.

On September 14, 2023, Francesco posted an adorable video on his Instagram where he is seen teasing and playing with Kubino in the back seat of the car and Kubino also seems to be enjoying his company. 

He wrote there is no joy without Kubino

On November 21, 2023, Francesco took to Instagram to wish good luck to all those involved in Euro by posting a picture with the caption,

Kubino is the son of Jakub Kojnok and his partner Dominion. Jakub worked as a technical leader with Francesco. 

His career

Francesco started his career as a football player in 1986 with Arezzo in the Serie B division. 

He made three appearances with the club and one appearance in Coppa Italia. He hung his boot with the club in 1987

After retiring as a player, he worked as a coffee salesman in Tuscany, Calzona, and also as an amateur coach in the side during the 1990s

He professionally started his coaching career in 2008 by joining Perugia as an assistant manager and worked there for a year. 

He worked as the assistant manager for Alessandria from 2010 to 2011, for Sorrento from 2010 to 2011, for Empoli from 2012 to 2015, and for Cagliari from 2021 to 2022. 

He then joined Napoli as a technical coach in 2021. He became the head coach of Napoli in 2024

He became the head coach of the Slovakia national team in 2022

Francesco is the first Serie A manager to serve as a national team manager of a foreign country at the same time. 

He took charge of Napoli with an impossible task

Francesco became the head coach of Napoli on February 19, 2024, replacing Walter Mazzari just two days before the round of 16 first leg against Barcelona in the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League

He took over an impossible task but he was determined to give his best. 

On the first day on the training ground, Francesco said they didn’t have much time so they were trying to move along quickly. 

He also added that he told his team that they don’t have any more excuses or alibis. 

He then explained his ideas to the players and waited to see if they understood his ideas in a hurry or not. 

The captain of the team, Giovanni Di Lorenzo said Francesco already knew them and the team welcomed him. 

Giovanni added that Francesco had immediately transmitted enthusiasm but they still had a lot to play for. 

Napoli ended the match with Barcelona in a draw by 1-1. 

He led Slovakia to the Euro 2024

Francesco was hired as the head coach of the Slovakia national team on August 30, 2022

Slovakia competed with five countries in group J of Euro 2024 qualifying. Portugal and Slovakia qualified directly for the final tournament. 

Slovakia qualified finishing second in the qualifying group by defeating Iceland by 4-2 on November 16, 2023. 

Francesco announced his squad for Euro and they will face Belgium on June 17, 2024, Ukraine on June 21, 2024, and Romania on June 26, 2024
