Emily Hudson is the daughter of the late American actress and producer Cindy Williams. Her mother was born Cynthia Jane Williams.
Who is her father?
Her father is actor and musician Bill Hudson who was also the vocalist in The Hudson Brothers, a band he formed in 1965 with his two brothers, Brett and Mark.
Her parents, Bill and Cindy, first met at a celebrity baseball event while shooting for “Laverne and Shirley.”
He was soon to impress Cindy, sending her a book by Martha Lear titled “Heart Sounds” for Christmas.

Her mother sadly passed away at the age of 75 on Monday 25th of January 2023, after a brief illness.
Emily and her brother Zachary Hudson released a statement via their family spokeswoman Liza Cranis.
The statement said the insurmountable sadness that the passing of their kind and hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought could not be truly expressed in words.
Knowing her and loving her has been their joy and privilege.
She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous, and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.
Emily was born while her mother was filming the seventh season of Laverne & Shirley
During an interview with TODAY in 2015, her mother revealed that she was pregnant with Emily while filming the seventh season of Laverne & Shirley.
She said she thought she was going to come back, and they would hide her baby bump behind benches, couches, and pillows, and that wasn’t it.
And when it came time for her to sign her contract for that season, they had her work during her due date to have her baby.
She at the time said she couldn’t sign that, but it went back and forth and back and forth, and it just never worked out.
She added right after that, (shows) would build nurseries on sets.
Hudson family feud
Prior to her father’s marriage to her mother, her father was married to actress Goldie Hawn with whom he shares two kids, Kate Hudson, and Oliver Hudson, who are both actors.
Kate and Hudson had an estranged relationship with their father until they reconciled a few years back.
In 2015, Oliver posted a childhood picture of him and his sister along with their father on the occasion of father’s day with the caption ”Happy abandonment day.”
Shortly after, their father gave an interview talking about how he felt about the post.
He said he felt horrible explaining that the photo was taken in Orlando, Florida, Disneyland.
At the time, their mother, Goldie, was with her boyfriend, Kurt Russell, in Miami for a week.
Things got heated up after Kate posted her picture with Kurt Russell with the caption, ”Pa..I love you to the moon and back”.
Talking about the post, he said if that’s what it takes to make them feel better, then change the name to Russell.
He also said the father’s day post was a deliberate attempt to hurt him. At the same time, he denied the published reports that said he disowned his kids.
He said he did not say they were dead to him, but he said it was like death to him. He said at the time that all he wanted was to end all of that and get together.
During one of the episodes of Kate’s podcast “Sibling Revelry” with Kate Hudson, Oliver, and Kate opened up about the estrangement where Oliver said his post was his sort of dark sense of humor, and he’s back out in the press disowning them and his saying to lose Hudson name prompted him to say “all right, let’s go.”
He got in contact with him and had a three-hour conversation with him, after which his reconciliation with his father came out of that moment.
Kate, in her podcast, had also shared about wanting to reconnect with Emily and Zach saying to Oliver that they have got four siblings with whom they don’t spend time and that they have been talking so much about sibling relationships and distraught relationships and are sitting like they have the best family and yet never acknowledge the fact that they have four siblings.
