The actual reason behind Dax Tejera's death

Ella’s father, passed away on December 23, 2022. The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner says the man died due to asphyxia. 

It happened due to the obstruction of the airway by food bolus, which resulted in acute alcohol intoxication. The demise is accidental, they added. 

Back in December, the memo was published by Kim Godwin, an ABC News president, who was also shared by staff claiming that Dax died of a heart attack. 

The same night of the demise, Officers were called to the hotel where the pair were staying, which was close to the Grand Central Terminal with unattended kids. 

His spouse was arrested. 

The New York police department's deputy commissioner, public information office, stated Veronica was arrested for acting in a manner injurious to a kid. 

Also, their kids were left alone inside the hotel room for a long period of time. 

Later, Veronica confronted that she made the bad decision to leave their kids in the hotel room. 

The lady stated that the day when her husband was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance, she was there with him. 

So she asked her parents and even close friends to go to their kids in the hotel room as she was seeing them via camera. 

She explained that the hotel did not allow her close friends and instead called NYPD. 

She explained that there were two cameras installed to look after their kids while they slept. 

Even though their kids were not harmed, the lady regretted her decision to leave.

Dax got graduated from Dartmouth College. 

He achieved a degree in history and government before his enrollment in the Columbia graduate school of Journalism in the year 2016. 

Well, Dax, while he was alive, served for MSNBC and ABC. In the year 2017, he served in the role of a senior producer in Washington, D.C. 

In early 2020, he then worked with ‘This Week.’ After three years, he got nominated for 2 Emmys for the coverage he had done in politics.

He also stated that Dax had gone too fast. Lastly, he included that his heart aches for Dax’s family.

Dax and Veronica married on August 3, 2019. They dated for some time before being officially together. 

Their wedding was hosted in Cartagena, Colombia. Their first daughter, whom they named Sofia, was born on November 2020. 

Just after two years, in July, Ella was born. Dax used to post many pictures of the girls on his social media. 

During Dax’s death, Ella was just five months old, while Sofia was two years old.
