Eduardo Coudet

Eduardo Coudet is an Argentine-born professional football manager who is the current manager of RC Celta de Vigo. He is a former player. 

He hung up his boots in 2011 after nearly playing for two decades. Coudet is mainly known for his nickname Chacho which was given during his playing days at Rosario Central and Platense.

His coaching journey so far

Coudet's coaching journey began after four years of his retirement from his playing career, i.e., in 2015, with his former club Rosario Central. 

In his two seasons at the helm of the club, he led the team to finish in third place in 2015 in the 2014-15 Copa Argentina. 

He then joined Tijuana on a year contract, but after 4 months and 18 days, he ended the working relationship with the club on mutual consent and soon took over Racing Club. 

He had a successful season at Racing Club, where he achieved success in lifting the Argentine Super League and the Champions Trophy in 2019. 

Above that, he became the most effective coach in the Racing Club history. Before taking over Celta de Vigo on the 12th of November, 2020, he was at the helm of the Brazilian club  Internacional. 

Under his management, he saved the Celta from relegation.

Does not like to play the same way all the time

Coudet does not like to play in the same way all the time. According to him, playing the same all the time does not exist, and he is obsessed with tactics. 

His obsession with tactics has helped him win two runners-up titles with Rosario Central and a championship trophy with Racing Club.

A dedicated coach arrives two hours before the start of the session. His training session with the players is behind closed doors, away from cameras.  

With his tactics, he has completely changed Celtic, the club that was lost and was without style and scheme. 

The players who have lost their confidence before have regained their confidence because they are convinced with his way of motivating the team through the speech. They admit that their coach know how to get the players.

One of his hobbies is driving 

Coudet is fond of driving and travels a lot by car than flights. He is not very fond of flights, so he travels by car even if it is a long hour distance. 

During the coronavirus pandemic, he drove 15 hours to spend a vacation with his family in his native Buenos Aires.

It was a new thing for Coudet as it was not his first time. He took the same 15-hour journey by car from his homeland to Porto Alegre for the start of the season, and when he worked at Rosario Central, he always traveled his native town by car. 

He is a family man?

Coudet lives a very private life. He confessed to disliking social media. He likes to talk about soccer better than talking to a computer. 

Because of his private life, nothing much is known about his personal life. But it is known that he had a family when he mentioned his wife in the press conference. 

During the press conference, he humorously said that he had the desire to chat since his family was not there and his wife left, and since he had no one to talk to, he grabbed them from psychologists.
