According to Tammy, they happened to be in the same tennis class at Brigham Young University.

She wanted him to ask her out, but he didn’t, so she had to goad him to ask her out. She recalled playing racquetball on their first date.
After the semester was over, Andy went to Los Angeles, and Tammy went to Arizona.
Tammy said her father was a little hesitant about their relationship when he saw Andy for the first time.
During the summer break, Andy went to meet Tammy.
His hair at the time had grown long, and as he pulled up in a Volkswagen bus with curtains all around the back and a bed in the back, his father was like O my Gosh, who is this guy our daughter is dating”? Tammy recalled.
Andy went on to spend a week with her family.
On the last night, Andy’s father advised him to figure out what their daughter’s all about, telling her she is all about their church and the gospel, and if he wanted to discover more about that, he needed to take the discussions from their missionaries.
And as he said, Andy decided to meet the missionaries and consider things throughout the rest of summer.
He was getting ready to head back to school when he asked Tammy if her father would baptize him.
Her father baptized him, and they got married the following year, in 1981.

Drew has four siblings where three are brothers, and one is a sister. The eldest child in her family was Garrett Reid, who was born in 1983 in Utah.
He is no longer alive as he died in Pennsylvania on August 5, 2012, after struggling with drug addiction.

He added that the trick to the comparison was if you can learn from each is, keeping them balanced as on the losses, you don’t get too low by learning from your mistakes, and when you win, don’t get too high.
