Dorthe Eriksen

Dorthe Eriksen is mother of famous Danish footballer Christian Eriksen. Dorthe is married to Thomas Eriksen, and she took her last name from her husband.  

Her husband works as an auto parts seller in his hometown. Though Thomas has a lot of football knowledge, he couldn't join football because of his several injuries. 

She also has a daughter named Louise Eriksen, who is also a football player. Louise plays as a defender for KoldingQ in the Elitedivisionen. 

Dorthe's both children were born and raised in Middelfart, Denmark.  Dorthe Eriksen and Thomas Eriksen also have one grandson.

Inspired by father

Dorthe's son Christian was inspired by his father Thomas to play football, and he started playing football in the academy of local side Middelfart G&BK.  

When Christian was three years old, Thomas pushed him to play. He trained Christian in his hometown until he was 13 years old. 

Dorthe's husband was also a coach. He helped the youth team to finish unbeaten for the local youth championship for the third time in four years. 

Got noticed by European clubs

When Christian was 15, he was spotted by the European clubs, and he was invited for the trial in three countries Spain, Italy, and England. 

Christian was also invited for the trial for Chelsea, Milan and Barcelona. Christian worked very hard for the selection process. 

He spent his all-day training hard. He also spent several sleepless nights watching Ryan Giggs videos. 

Unluckily, Barcelona, Milan, and Chelsea didn't accept him. 

Though the trial didn't go as planned, it was not the end for the young footballer's career. It opened several new doors with lots of opportunities.

The new beginnings

After some time, Christian started working in the Dutch side Ajax. He also won the Eredivisie in 2010-11, 2011-12, and 2012-13. 

Eriksen joined Tottenham in 2014, and in the 2016-17 season, he also became "Player of the year." 

After winning the title, he was also included in the 2017-18 PFA Team. He gave 10+ assists for four seasons of Premier League. 

The first to do so was David Beckham. He was a team member who played the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final against Liverpool in 2019.

In January 2020, he signed a contract with Inter Milan. Two Coaches have played essential roles in Christian careers. One was his father, Thomas, and the other was Morten.

Cristian's love life

Christian started dating in 2012 and was in a serious long-term relationship. 

They also celebrated their 8th anniversary, but unfortunately, things started getting bad between them. 

There was also a rumor of his partner Sabrina cheating on him. Sabrina Kvist Jensen was working as a hairdresser. 

She left her job after moving with her partner to England. After some time, the couple announced their pregnancy news. 

In 2018, the couple was blessed with a son, and they named him Alfred Eriksen. In 2020, they were blessed with another child. 

About Dorthe's daughter

Dorthe's daughter was born on September 11, 1995.  Recently, she is playing for Inter Milan and the Danish national team.  

Louise was inspired by her brother Christian playing at such a young age. So, she also decided to join the football team. 

In April 2017, Louise was selected to play with the Danish national team in an international match against Finland.
