Dearbhla Mescal is married to Paul Mescal Sr. Her son, the actor, also goes by his father’s name, Paul Mescal.

It has been revealed that Paul’s mother has been battling cancer.
She has multiple myeloma, which is a type of bone marrow cancer and is receiving treatment for the same.
Recently on 24th January 2023, Paul received an Oscar nomination for his performance in Aftersun.
The same day the nominations were out, Paul’s sister Nell made it to her Twitter and disclosed that Dearbhla was getting prepared to get her chemotherapy and had cut her hair for the same purpose the day the nominations were announced. “Life is so crazy,” she exclaimed.

Paul was born on 2nd February 1996 in Maynooth, County Kildare. He is the firstborn of Dearbhla and Paul. He has two siblings: a brother and a sister.

He thinks that this is because of the drink mezcal. He explained that the right pronunciation of his surname is with the use of a soft “s” and “a” (Mes-kle).
He also jokingly said that if he ever owns a tequila line, he would name it “Mescal’s Mezcal.”

During an award ceremony in Los Angeles, Paul and Zendaya co-presented an award.
While they were walking towards the stage, Paul held out his hands to help the actress to get up the stairs.
