Daniel A. Jost

Daniel A. Jost is the father of an American comedian, actor, and writer named Colin Jost. 

He is one of the greatest stand-up comedians that America ever has.

Colin also shared how did his family react to this name. He said that his family is always very supportive. However, Colin stated that his mom was slightly thrown by it and didn’t quite understand it. 

Again he elaborated that maybe his mom thought of that name as a hippy thing, a dirty hippy. Colin recalled a previous moment when his mom called him three, four days later, and she was like, “Cosmo,” and is the name already final? 

Like, did you submit the birth certificate? Colin replied, stating they had already performed all the procedures at the hospital. 

However, his mom stated that while she was reading, there was also a name Cosimo with an I. So that could also be an option. 

The lady lives on Staten Island, and eventually, she starts meeting numerous members of the Italian community who have a lot of Cosmo relatives, Colin tells. 

Colin shared how his mom would call and say she met someone, and they said their uncle’s name was Cosmo.
