Her father coached her when she was young, along with her siblings. She played her senior tournaments in 1969. 

She is one of the best female tennis players of the world. She won her first Grand Slam at the age of 16.

She retired from professional tennis career in 1989 after the US Open. Currently, she works as a coach of tennis.

Her first husband’s name is John Lloyd, a British tennis player.

Raised with two brothers
