She is the fourth wife of Nolte

Lane is the fourth wife of Nolte. Prior to marrying her, her husband was married thrice. 

He was married for the first time to actress Sheila Page in 1966 before getting divorced in 1970. 

In 1978, he married for the second time to Sharyn Haddad, whom he met at a nightclub but got divorced in 1984. 

He got married to Rebecca Linger the same year of his divorce from Haddad. They were together for a decade.

According to the sources, Lane and Nolte met in the 90s and started dating after a while. 

They got married on the 8th of September, 2016, and have been together since then.

Mother of one 

Lane and Nolte gave birth to their only daughter, Sophie Lane Nolte, in October 2007. Their daughter is already a star. 

She has appeared alongside her father in the 2018 movie "Head Full Of Honey."

She played the character Maltida, who is the granddaughter of Nolte in the movie.

Sophie calls her father 'Grandpa'

Nolte, during an interview with the New York Post, revealed how Sophie landed a role in Head Full Of Honey and also that his daughter Sophie calls him 'Grandpa.' 

Sophie had never acted before, and also, it was not his idea to cast her, he said. 

According to him, he had shown his daughter some of the movies the night before he had invited director Til Schweiger to his home. 

When Schweiger went to his home the next day, Sophie answered the door and said to him that he must be Til Schweiger and also told him that he had made a pretty good movie and ran off. 

After discovering that it was his daughter Sophie, who at the time was in vampire dress since it was Halloween, Schweiger asked if she could play Maltida, and Nolte asked him to talk to Sophie's mother.

Nolte said that it took Lane four hours to get convinced and that it wasn't much of a stretch revealing that his daughter calls him grandpa. 

He said when he asked Sophie the reason behind calling him grandpa, she said it was because he was twice the age of most of her friends' parents.

She is also a step-mom

Lane is also a step-mom to Nolte's 37-year-old son, Brawley Nolte, whom he shares with his third ex-wife, Rebecca Linger. 

Brawley is an actor known for his work in Ransom (1996), Affliction (1997), and Hotel Rwanda (2004). 

Facts about her husband 

Nolte loved playing football. He went to school just to be eligible but spent most of his time playing football.

In his memoir “Rebel: My Life Outside the Lines,” he stated that he often found himself playing with such passion and concentration that he simply started to cry. 

He lettered in football as a tight end and defensive end at Eastern Arizona, but there was a full stop in his studies because of his poor grades, which was a turning point. 

After leaving Pasadena City College in 1962, Nolte began his career in theatre. He spent more than a decade as a stage actor.

In 1992, People magazine named him the sexiest man alive. 

In an interview, when Nolte was asked about how he felt at the time, he said that he thought they made a terrible mistake. 

He thought Walter Cronkite was the sexiest man alive at the time. 

In his 80s, he still wants to work. He is still interested in the stories. 

Although he doesn’t find 80s fun because it’s like falling apart in a way, he will keep on going until he just can’t go anymore, he said.

Nolte had a feud with actress Julia Roberts while working on the 1994 movie “I Love Trouble.” 

Julia even stated working with him was a completely disgusting experience. 

He said he hadn’t ever reached to her and buried the hatchet. It was partly his fault and partly hers. 

Julia got married at the beginning of that film, and it was one of those things where he just approached wrong, he said.
