Christian started playing for the BSC Young Boys club in 2017. The club won the 2017-18 Swiss Super League when Christian was also part of the team. 

This was the first league title for the club in 32 years. He played an important role in this league by scoring 11 goals. 

He made his professional debut in the national team of Switzerland against Belgium. 

In 2021 he was called up to the national team of Switzerland for the UEFA European Championship 2020. 

The team reached the quarter-finals, where Christian played an important role.

In November, in the 6th minute, the defender of Zurich, Toti Gomes, made an aerial dual with Christian.

After the injury, Christian suffered from depression. But his beautiful girlfriend Jenifer encouraged him and supported him in every aspect. 

After resting for some time, Christian started training again. He made physical progress, but his condition of hearing was still the same. 

But he made his brain become familiar with no longer receiving the same signals from the ear as before the accident. 

He adapted this style of playing and started playing football again.

Switzerland qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2022 by winning UEFA group C. 

When the coach of Switzerland, Murat Yakin, announced 26 men's squad of Switzerland, Christian was also included in the list.
