Christian Charles Sampras is the firstborn kid to an American former professional tennis player, Pete Sampras.

Pete was born to parents Georgia Sampras and Sam Sampras.

Parents love story 

His father, Pete Sampras, is a tennis player, whereas his mother, Bridgette Wilson, is an American former actress, singer, model, and Miss Teen USA winner.  

Their love story is one of a kind. He met her when she was 27 years old in a cinema hall. 

And after seeing her, he jokingly told his friend, 'I would love to meet her.' 

His friend being helpful, got her number from a mutual friend. 

And they started talking on the phone with each other.

His father, Pete Sampras, got married to his mother, Bridgette Wilson, in a very intimate ceremony that took place in the backyard.

Both sides of the family came together to rescue them from organizing their wedding. 

Only 80 guests were invited to the wedding, mostly were all their family members and a few close friends.

Peter is known to be a pediatrician and tennis enthusiast. It was Peter who coached Pete till 1989 and transferred him to one-handed from two-handed. 

He was 16 years old when he turned to be a professional. 

After a year, he stepped into the fourth round of the 1989 U.S. Open and then into the five-set second-round match with Mats Wilander, a champion. 

Just at 19, he beat Agassi and achieved the title of the U.S. Open’s youngest-ever male singles champion. 

Nevertheless, his hard work and dedication led him to win the first five career titles at the Tennis Masters Cup. 

Talking about his sister, Stella is also engaged in tennis. Not only this, she is listed as the head coach of women’s tennis at UCLA.
