The guy who is well known for playing the lead role as a Black Panther (Chadwick) said that he had given auditioned for the Marvel character Drax for the movie Guardians of the Galaxy. 

Chadwick said in an interview that he had no idea about the characters as the characters had different tones, and he didn’t know what the character would be in the future because he had only a few pages at that time about the character. 

At first, he was rejected for the role of Drax, but later on, the casting director Sarah Finn thought that Chadwick would be usable for another character, and luckily, he became the Black Panther.

A basketball player before being an actor.

Boseman was a basketball player while he was studying in high school, but he didn’t play it professionally. 

He even wrote a screenplay, “Crossroads,” about his college basketball team. It was a response by him when one of his teammates was shot and killed. 

Then after high school, he took an acting class in a summer program of the British American Drama Academy at the University of Oxford.

In AFI Life Achievement Award, Boseman honored American actor Denzel Washington as the guy behind his success.
